Java Team Lead – Remote job

With a goal to grow our Romanian R&D center to 150 professionals by 2023 we are actively looking for a strong Java Team Lead, with extensive experience in building high-quality, large-scale applications in international environments.

Your Role:

As a Java Team Lead you will:

• Provide clear, actionable and timely feedback to direct reports through regular one-on-ones;
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports;
• Conduct retrospectives after each sprint to identify key areas for improvement;
• Lead and mentor team members on technical best practices and standardized processes;
• Coordination of new functionality delivery (planning new features development, risk management);
• Propose improvements to increase reliability of the product;
• Review pull requests and provide feedback;
• Perform requirements analysis to define possibility and way how to implement them.

Desired skills:

• Experience in commercial projects as a lead developer;
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset;
• Familiar with Agile methodologies;
• Strong experience using Java;
• Strong SQL Skills;
• Strong understanding of basic algorithms and data structures;
• Experience using Spock framework is a plus;
• Docker experience is a plus;
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
• Proven knowledge of commonly used software concepts, practices and methodologies.

Tools, Environment, Languages and Technologies:

Java 11, Spring Framework (Spring Data Jpa, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Security), Spring Boot 2, Groovy and Spock Framework for unit/integration testing, Flyway, JMS, Maven, Docker, Oracle DB
